Sea Kayaking Participants Information

Unless previously agreed this session will involve a mixture of double and single sit on top style kayaks.

Participants will need to have a reasonable level of fitness.  In the event of a capsize participant will need to be able to climb back on the kayak from deep water this requires a similar level of fitness to climbing out of the side of a swimming pool from deep water without using steps.  If you are unsure of your fitness, just give us a call.

Maximum manufacturers recommended total capacity for our double kayaks is 200 kg

Maximum manufacturers recommended weight for our sit on top single sea kayaks is 136kg

Recommended Kit List

Comfortable clothing

Old trainers or wet suit boots or beach shoes etc

These may get wet

No jeans

Depending upon the weather we may issue wetsuits. It is a good idea to bring shorts or swimming costume and long sleeve thermal base layer or T shirt to wear under wet suit.

If you wish you can bring your own wet suit

Towel and spare clothes and spare footwear.A changing robe is a great idea as it gives greater flexibility when changing after activity sessions
