We know that spending time as a family is important.
Family adventure days, half days or multi day resiedntial trips are a great way for you to spend valuable time together whilst keeping active and trying a variety of outdor activities.
Family activities and adventure days are run reguarly throughout the year and can also be arranged by demand to suit your family.
Activities can be chosen from our wide selection, including; air rifle shooting, archery, abseiling and climbing, assault course, gorgewalking, coasteering, coastal kayaking, canoeing, raft building, sailing etc.
Below are some example activity sessions that we feel are perfect for families. If you want to create your own family experience for a half day, full day or residential visit then contact us to discuss your requirments.

Archery or Field Archery (1hr)
Air Rifle Shooting (1hr)
High Ropes Course (1 to 1.5hrs)
Coasteering or Gorge Walking (Approximately 2hrs)
Combination of any two of the following; Archery, Field Archery, Air Rifle Shooting, Assault Course. (2hrs)
Abseiling and Climbing (on site at the Venture Centre) followed by 110ft dramatic Cliff Abseil off Maughold Head. (2-3hrs)
Coastal Sea Kayaking (Sit on Tops) around the Maughold area (2-3hrs)

Lunch (Provided by the Venture Centre)

As a family run centre we know how important spending quality time together is. With busy lives juggling the demands of family and work it is important to take a break and relax. Our staff are here to help you make the most of your time together.
We work with you to give you the best experiences Over breakfast our staff will discuss the options for the day or if you prefer we can plan your programme in advance.
You choose your programme
Full Adventure programme or relaxing break or why not do some sightseeing, take a vintage railway trip,visit the Great Laxey wheel or one of the many heritage sites on our beautiful Island.
Most of our rooms are ensuite with bunk beds, exactly what you need after a busy day.
Whether its enjoying the sunset over a campfire on the secluded beach of Port e Vullen, sailing a dinghy on your own for the first time, abseiling off a 100 foot cliff or climbing a waterfall on our gorge walk, we will ensure you and your family have the holiday you deserve.
