The Venture Centre Bunkhouse

The Venture Centre bunkhouse is located in the converted buildings of Lewaigue Farm, overlooking farmland with distant sea views. The secluded beach of Port e Vullen is just a 10-minute walk away and is popular with our visitors, as are the nearby cliff-top coastal walks.

Accommodation

All bedrooms are en-suite with full central heating. On-site facilities include a basic but functional games room and kitchen, providing an ideal base to explore the Isle of Man or participate in activities offered by The Venture Centre. Bedding and towels can be provided.

Each camp has its own set of facilities, including:

Kitchen with all usual appliances and utensils
Dining room
Lounge with sofas and a pool table
Outside areas with picnic benches
Laundry facilities
Hot water/tea and coffee making facilities
Various sized rooms from 1, 2, 4-bed, and larger 8+ bed rooms

Transport

For groups visiting The Venture Centre, we can help arrange transport with our fleet of minibuses at an additional cost. Contact us for details.

The Venture Centre has a tram stop on the Manx Electric Railway situated 100m away. This heritage railway runs seasonally and takes a scenic route to Ramsey, Laxey, and Douglas.

The hostel is a five-minute walk from the bus stop, which provides connections to Ramsey, Douglas, and the rest of the island.

Catering

The bunkhouse offers self-catering facilities, but meals can be arranged through The Venture Centre. The self-catering kitchen is fully equipped with usual kitchen appliances, utensils, and cutlery.

We expect due consideration to be shown for centre neighbours and other residents.
Groups wishing to make excessive noise, especially after 10:30 p.m., must seek accommodation elsewhere.
No smoking inside any of the centre buildings or in sight of any children resident at the centre.
